§ Promise

The Compass EV promise

Six promises. Most companies write them in legal language at the footer of a long page. We’ve put them on a single page so you can hold us to them.

01

No commissions, no kickbacks.

We have no commercial relationship with any dealer, manufacturer, broker, finance provider, or salary-sacrifice scheme. We don’t earn affiliate revenue on listings we include. We don’t earn referral fees when a customer takes a sal-sac quote.

The £199 a customer pays is the only money we receive in connection with their search. Disclosed on every report, on every page of this site, in writing.

02

Refund if we get the facts wrong.

If we’ve stated a fact about a car that turns out to be materially wrong (wrong battery size, wrong charging speed, wrong price band, wrong recall status, wrong heat pump fitment), the customer gets a full refund and we correct the knowledge base from the source.

“Materially wrong” means the kind of error a buyer would care about. Typo in the spec table is not material. Wrong DC peak charging speed is.

03

Redo if the shortlist isn't right.

If the customer reads the report and feels the shortlist doesn’t answer their brief, we redo the search once with adjusted parameters at no extra cost. The redo window is 14 days from delivery.

This isn’t a discretionary policy. It’s a contractual right of the customer, on every report, in the final-page disclosures.

04

The honest answer, even when it's 'wait.'

A report that concludes “an EV isn’t right for you yet” is doing its job. We will say that when we think it’s true.

Background: the four situations where an EV is the wrong call. If any of them apply to your situation, the report will say so plainly.

05

Methodology in the open.

The data sources we use, the cross-checks we run, the automated steps, the human steps — all of it is documented publicly at our methodology page.

If a buyer wants to know why a particular fact in their report says what it does, they can trace it back to a named source.

06

One price. No upsell.

£199. One tier. We do not have a “premium” tier, a “basic” tier, a subscription, a recurring fee, or an “add-on.” The fee buys the full report and the 14-day WhatsApp follow-up window.

If you can’t afford £199, the free quiz, knowledge base, and calculators are free to everyone, forever, no signup.
